Actually I was really interested to see your dual camera thread because I was working on the exact same idea a year ago. I gave it up when I came to these forums because I decided it wasn't worth the trouble in lieu of Obin and Jaun's projects. More power to you though, I still think it is a totally do-able idea.

I welcome the anamorphic discussion because I believe it is the most complicated part of this project other than the GG adapter.

I am putting the finishing touches on my CNC mill and will hopefully be able to machine a nice mattebox and rail system for this project. I will keep everyone posted as I progress. I was planning on using anodized aluminum for construction, that may be what you are thinking of.
