The 400 Series Mini35 is optimized for the Panasonic AG-DVX100. The 300 Series Mini35 will not work effectively with the camera due to the way the camera is designed.
P+S Technik wanted to produce a camera adapter for the 400 Series with the new JVC HD10 camera, but the auto iris on the JVC rendered the idea a non-starter. Apparently, changing the camera to incorporate a switch for auto/manual iris isn't that simple, so the idea was dropped. Sony PD150/PD170 works just fine with both the 300 and 400 Series Mini35. Thanks Barbara but I was wondering if anyone had any success using other cameras despite the inconsistencies...
