On the technical side: sometimes you see a hotspot... or is that added in post as effect?

Hello Oscar
there was no hotspot added in post-production, I guess it depends on the lens used and I should also point out that I only had a dvd of the edited film, I am waiting for the DV tape or the .mov file.
