anamorphic adapters
hey,
Hawks would be nice but I'm looking for an anamorphic adapter to use in tandem with existing lenses... what should I be looking for if anything? Josh |

That particular lens has a 1.5x squeeze, so it would be of limited use to a video shooter. It would deliver a 2:1 aspect ratio, which can't be properly displayed on a TV... if you tried to show that video on a 16:9 TV, it would still be a little horizontally squashed.
Interesting idea, though. Maybe the additional squeeze would be mild enough to not really be noticeable, and it would make everyone on camera a little thinner (instead of the camera "adding 10 pounds", this would actually maybe take away 10 pounds!) |
