Glowing review of the Mini35
While not mentioned in the article, this piece was shot with the Mini35/PD-150 combo.

So do we assume that "high-def transfer" is a misnomer?

I would presume that statement to mean that a high-def up-res and color correct was done before the blowup to film. I have not spoken to the filmmakers directly yet though.
