Lee,

Yes I shot this an another feature film: Young and Vulnerable Years with this system. I loved it so much ont the first one that I upgraded to an XL-2 for the second film and loved the image quality even more. The difference between the 300 and 400 series is the way the ground glass moves. The 300 series has a spinning ground glass. This really never becomes an issue unless you have a need to stop down your lens for larger depth of field, but if your like me, I never stopped the lens down more than 2.8/3.5

Not to mention that the whole point of the mini35 is to have small depth of field anyway.

Nice shots....

If you really did the movie with the series 300, wowo congratulations...
I don't get to have a good image with my 300 series...
I got the system with a XL-H1...and the colors just don;t looki to good to me.
I bought this product about 5 month ago, and still haven't done too much.

If you could send me a clip of your other movie, as I told you I'm not getting a good image...and I'm looking at other peoples jobs to compare...
Thanks...

Carlos - you mean the colors are not good or the image quality, such as resolution is not good?

I'm just curious because I've shot series 300 with XL1se (PAL version for easy 24p conversion) and now shoot with XL2 (see my site for last film project shot on XL2) and find the image pretty darn good.

I've debated going to the HD camera but think for that you really need a series 400 and so far I have not been impressed with any online samples shot in HD with the mini35.

Anyone know of any "amazing" mini35 HD samples out there?

Cheers all.
