BNCR Mount Possible?
Just wondering if this would be an easy mount to create for the Letus Extreme?
Any leads on custom manufacturers? |

Scott.
There's people like Les Bosher in the UK who could probably do it. Depends on how far back inside the BNCR mount the shoulder comes. If the rear end of the shoulder is closer than about 42mm (leaving clearance for backfocus adjustments) from the groundglass rear face and if the diameter of the shoulder is more than 53mm, there would only be about 1mm wall thickness left to work with in making a mount up. The lenses would need to have additional support. If the flange to focal plane distance of the BNCR is less than 40mm it can't fit at all. It seems that Dan Diaconu made a BNCR mount version of his own device so you might be able to get some assistance from him. He was a member here, may still be. This is all guesswork on my part. I have not yet had a vernier over the Letus Extreme, only its ancestor the Letus35 XL. Last edited by Bob Hart; March 5th, 2008 at 11:20 AM. Reason: error |
