Messing around with the 1.6 magnification add-on

I don't post much (I think it's my first one lol!!), but I think I found a solution to my personal 35mm adapter problem(s). I wanted something that would give me 3 levels of control, like a lens on bellows. So I am using the 1.6 extender for the XL1 and my digital calipers for now to adjust the length (while holding the lens in my hand to test the theory). Since it's a DSLR lens, I can't adjust the fstops. Gonna run down to the hardware store and see if I can make something more stable than my giant shaking hands. Will post video tonight. And if it works, I'll get an FD lens for giggles.
