Battery life?
Hi - how much shooting time can we expect from a pair of, say, Duracell Ultras when used to power the Letus Extreme?
Thanks! (I asked this question at the Letus site, but no response; so...) |

I run a CD motor all day with a single 1.5v cell on a spinning device and the battery is still ready to go. However, the CD-R sized disk is fine as long as it is spinning, even quite slowly.
Quyen's arrangement is a little more critical in that the motion may degrade if motor rpm drops. However I think you will find that the motion remains okay as long as the motor will start in the normal shooting position. If you have to tilt the lens to ground to get the motor to start, then it is time to chage the battert set. The Letus motor is much smaller than the CD motor and with 3v I would expect as full day on a battery set is not an unreal expectation. Last edited by Bob Hart; December 8th, 2007 at 08:47 PM.
