Finders viewfinder addons for HV20?

In photos of various rigs I have seen external viewfinders or finders attached to the rig and connected in some way to the HV20. I know Sony makes finders for large pro cameras. Are these what people are using? How do they adapt the pin configuartion for an HV20? Which units are commonly used? Are these a major improvement over the HV20 lcd and viewfinder?

Thanks

Pat

i was wondering this also. as i have seen a comapany somewhere that did this for 35mm adapters also. i am curious how one can take one of those EVF's and convert the pins to display the HV20's image. or any cam for that matter

Really have to wonder if you can't just find a small crt and hack something together with composite video lines.
Otherwise the cost for something like this is more than double the price of the HV20 itself.
Could check the feasibility of taking a viewfinder off an old VHS camera.
