HD100...Upside right or upside down?

I am trying to figure out if the image of the HD100 with the use of a GY-HD100 is upside right or upside down. It looks like a flip model but id doesn't make sense. The image coming from the front lens is upside down and then gets converted upside right with the mirrors but then again get turned upside down at the lens that attaches to the camera body?

Confused! Also...do you need to adapt the letus to the GY-HD100 with an adapter, or it comes all as part of the package?

Thanks

The image is the right way up (i.e. the correct/normal way up). The mount supplied on the adaptor is all you need to connect it to the camcorder body
