Phantom Power & Sennheiser G2 Wireless Receiver

I have the Sennheiser Evolution G2 100 Series wireless transmiter/receiver (EK100G2 Receiver) and was wondering if phantom power coming from a mixer or recorder (R-4 or H4) would damage the receiver.

I don't have direct experience with it but a number of users report the sound quality is degraded with phantom on although there's no damage to the receiver
