Musical Score and DP5
Just a note. I've just finished a scoring session with a 40 piece orchestra (we can overdub here no union rules here hehe,) and to say that the punches and streamers overlay function in Digital Performer was a tremendous help. I couldn't come up with 41 headphones, but we needed a way to have a click track. The very old school Punches and Streamers were wonderful. I can conduct using the visual cues instead of audio cues. We hit the marks almost spot on. I also love how it changes color to cue you of a up coming "hit."
A little off topic. Sound is indeed half the picture. Alot of that "Hollywood" sound we're always looking for is in the score. I think, we've somewhat become "used" to that sound in movies.
