Trying to create this sound
I'm looking for a loops album, etc., where I can create what sounds to me like a female voice holding one note but it has a synthesizer quality to it and a slight vibrato. ILONA isn't it. I have that Sony Acid album. This is a haunting, almost celestial quality to it and is featured frequently on the TV show "24." Very hard to explain; maybe I can post a clip of it, if necessary. I'm not sure if it's a vox effect or what--but I'm sure it's not an actual female singing a note.

Use a vocoder plug-in.

Anybody know if ENYA's booked next week?
(sorry, couldn't resist) It's a pretty common synth patch. Call a competent synth player and you shoud be able to get a couple of minutes of that for beer money. |
