Tascam HD-P2 Timecode sync
I would like to sync our audio from a Tascam HD-P2 with our 16mm film footage (on Digital Beta). Has anyone tried it and what should I look out for?

I'm really confused what you're asking here. Are you shooting on 16mm film and telecining to digi Beta for post and/or broadcast or are you shooting video on digi Beta and converting to 16mm film for release? I may be dense but your question sounds like you're trying to use the recorder to add audio to a collection of existing digiBeta tapes containing material from 16mm source but that doesn't make much sense. What are you really trying to do here?

Hi Steve,
Yup you got it right on the first try. We're shooting on 16mm film and telecining to digi Beta for post. We're trying to sync the EDL from Avid with the sound from the HD-P2. We use the Sony BVE 2000 edit control system. |

'Fraid I can't help much as I'm not up on PAL and synching in Avid but I'm sure someone can chime in who has experience.
