X Noise, De-Noise, Noise Reduction...
Hi,
I am working with Apples Sountrack Pro. I am looking for a plugin to reduce or eliminate noise. My audio has segments where only noise is present, so I can use this segments as the wave sample to be eliminated. I am not sure what plug-ins work for Soundtrack Pro, and which noise reducer is the best. |

At NAB last year I saw a demo of noise reduction at Apple's booth using Soundtrack Pro. I was under the impression that NR came standard with the app.
The demo was very effective. People were talking in a motor boat. They sampled the noise, and were able to strip it from the clip, or mix a bit back in for a more natural background sound. The voices still sounded natural after processing. If it's not standard, it must be a plug in from Apple. I'd check Apple's stuff out first, if I were you. (I'm not though. I use PC stuff... It's all good!)

Soundtrack Pro comes with DeNoiser as part of the standard plugin package. It's a reasonably good noise reduction plug.
