Alesis FW Mulitmix 8

Hello,

I am looking for a mixer solution for video production and the alesis seems nice and with a firewire connection it is very universal. But it needs a powered line connection which makes it not so mobile. Do you have some experiences with this mixer (quality preamps etc.) or another proposition in the low 300dollar price range ?

Thanks alot,

Hubertus

If you are using FireWire for your video drives, you may want to consider Alesis' USB mixer instead. You'll only be able to record 2 tracks with USB simultaneously instead of 8 with firewire, but it won't tie-up your FW bus.
best of luck
