Portable Sound Mixers

Hey guys, I own a JVC HD 100 HD Camera. I have xlr inputs and have been using the Sennheiser g2 mic system but am not happy with the sound of the audio because i want to adjust it more than I can on the camera.

I am looking for a portable sound mixer that people are happy with. Maybe something that's battery powered and can mount on my camera. (that's probably not possible, i'd probably have to carry it on my waist or something) 2 channel would be nice, with xlr/quarter inch in and xlr out.

I know i could do the research myself, but usually theres someone out there wanting to boast about a product they are happy with, and thats all i'm looking for.

Thanks in advance,

Jon

I agree that the Sound Device mixers are great they do not mount to a camera. Look at http://www.beachtek.com/products.html for units that will mount to a camera. Not as many bells and whistles but they are portable. Not sure if one fits your camera but have a look.

Excep the Beachtek's aren't mixers. Good XLR adapters but that's it.

You are correct. Not sure what I was thinking at the time but guess I was more focused on "camera mount" than "mixer".
