Prog. that w/ sync & insert wav w/avi? at DVinfo.net

Passing on this request from a friend:

"Does anyone know of a software that will sync and insert a wav file with an avi? We have a single audio file that a customer wants to insert into multiple avi files."

Anybody know a batch file processing program that can do this?

Using scripting, Sony Vegas can insert multiple user-determined avi files and sync/match length a wav file to that avi file.
Could you provide more specifics? ie; sync as in lip sync? Or sync as in making them start at the same time? Same length?
Easily done, but would need specifics to walk you through using the interface of the batch/setup tools.
