Batch convert stereo wav to mono?
I have 532 audio tracks that were accidentially recorded in stereo mode using a mono mic. The left channel has audio and the right channel has silence. I have been (rather tediously) using Audacity to split the stereo tracks and saving the left channel as a new mono track. Is there a way of accomplishing this as a batch?

I... figured it out. Seems I was a bit hasty in my desperation. After upgrading Audacity to the beta 1.3 it became clear that they have implemented a simple tool to do exactly what I intended.
File -> Edit chain -> Add -> "Stereo to Mono" -> Apply chain - Apply to files -> done! |

Glad you found an easy answer. Audition and Sony Vegas both do this in a one-click process as well.
