Opposite of reverb

I know I am probably dreaming, but if you have an echo or reverb in audio, what would be the way to make it flat, other than compression?

I just want to know I've exhausted everything prior to print.

Steven...

The best way is, of course, to get a clean recording. Reverb is part of the mix and very tough to eliminate.

You can try to see if there's a particular band in which it's the worst and then supress that, but usually it ends up adversely affecting the primary audio as well.

The technique is called deconvolution, but it requires knowledge of the impulse response, and is very sensitive to it. Best forget about it.

Thanks, I figured as much. I was just wondering if I was missing something simple. This footage was with my old handy cam. Thanks again for your time.
