Esennheiser G2 Wirless & Xl2 Sync Problem?

I was wondering if anybody has had a similiar following issue? Today I shot a interview with my XL2 camera in 24pn, along with using my Sennheiser G2 wirless lav set-up. After capturing the footage to FCP5, there was a noticeable sync problem. My editor called me to say that the audio was six frames off. I don't remember if he said that the audio was 6 frames ahead of the video, or 6 frames behind the picture. Anyway, i was wondering if anybody might have an idea if this has been known to happen, and why. The laviler mic was attached just below the talents shirt neck collar.

My first recommendation would be to check the audio settings in your XL2. Were you shooting in 16 bit audio, or one of the 12 bit options? It has been reported by some that shooting in 12bit audio mode can result in 'audio drift', as it does not lock the way 16 bit does.

Also, be sure that your friend's capture settings are correctly set up for the parameters of the footage you are shooting.

thanks for the tip. i will have to check that. I believe as far as the set-up on FCP that it was set correctly. But I'm not sure about my XL2 setting yet.
