How to mic a pistol competition
I am planning to shoot a pistol competition and my concern is how to control the obvious loud sounds I will be recording. I will be at a disadvantage since instead of using a hearing protector, I will be using my 7506 for recording!
I will be using my PSC Promix 3, Oktava MC012, and EW100G for the project. My plan is to use my mixer all the time so I can ride the multiple gunshots that will be around me when I shoot (pun intended). Any suggestion is appreciated. Delfino |

You're not the first. Start wiith a search here on "gunshots." Among other things you'll find the idea of using speakers as microphones.
