Video file size limits in Sound Forge 8?

I wanted to master the audio of an AVI file created in Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7. When I open the video in Sound Forge, it takes 11 minutes to build proxies for he 1 hr. 17 min. video. Then it displays an error message about a stream. (Sorry, don't have the program on this computer to type in the exact wording.) Does Sound Forge have a limit to the size video file it can handle? I can open and work with individual short clips without any problems.

Thanks,

T.J.
