iRiver IFP-899 setting
Hi everyone, I'm just playing around with my new iRiver and have a wedding this saturday. I was able to play around and get the recording from a lav mic and the volume sounds great and everything but there's a problem. I've set the settings to be 44khz 128bit and recording volume at 45% Stereo. When I playback it sounds more like its coming out of one side of my speakers. I do hear a little bit but not equally strong from both speakers. Is there something i'm doing wrong? Help!!!

If it is a mono lav it will only be recorded on the left channel. However, the iriver has to be set to stereo or it will not record anything at all. This is because of the funny way the mic input is wired.
It is easy to work with. In you editor (audio or video editor) just select the left audio channel. Buddy |
