Windboss with AT897
Has anybody used a WindBoss with the AT897? I've been using the 897 for a while now, and have some outdoor shoots coming up in the next couple of weeks. It's a little weird to me that the WindBoss costs more than the mic does, so I'm wondering if I'm overkilling, or if it will even work...?
Any thoughts? I've been searching, Google and here, and haven't found anyone doing it yet. I just now bought the small WindBoss windscreen system, but I guess if I screwed up I'll send it back. |

Hi Philip
You can get either a Rycote Softie or a Lightwave Equalizer for somewhere in the 100-125 dollars bracket... both do a good job of reducing the windnoise on out door shoots.... If you go for the full Zepplin type set up it will cost more than the AT Mic. regards Gareth |
