Audio out of sync

I have a project that plays fine in windows media player, but when burned to a dvd the audio is out of sync with the video. Any idea's?

Just a thought... is your WMV set up for streaming? That can cause the footage to lose sync...

more details might be helpful, too... like what program are you using to burn, how was the original file prepared, etc.

The encoding for WMV and DVD are generally going through 2 different encoders. How are you encoding these and we can refine a solution.

Example, on my editor, using a Creative Labs Audigy2 or M-Audio card can solve this problem over onboard audio that is included with the motherboard. BUT, before you go buy one, let us know the workflow so we can help you isolate it. Hardware and editor/encoder is a good start.
