Mbox Vs Mbox2 Preamps at DVinfo.net

Hi Folks!

Im considering getting an External Audio Interface for improved preamps, Protools and to serve as a remote recording studio when I'm away. The Mboxes represent the upper limit of my budget, does anyone know how the new digidesign preamps stack up againt the Focusrites on the original and how they do against each other in general? Aside from the Mboxes, is there anything else in that price range worth giving a check? Application will primarily be for Voiceovers.
