If you need more recording time on the 744T it is very easy to change out the 40 GB harddrive for a 120GB harddrive. This will give you about three times the original recording time for under $200. 80 GB hard drives are much less and there is a 160 GB drive available for $335.

Changing to a larger hard drive does not void Sound Devices warranty if done properly.
