Woman in High Heels (Audio Project for School)

Hey people ;)

I need your help (comments/opinion) for my school project...

I have an IMAC G5 - I have Soundtrack (audio program)

Where can I find sound efx - I am interested really is 2 things
-woman/man walking in high heels from close and far distance in a alley or something close to that)
-Heavy breathing (male/female)

I have to do a 2 minute audio project it can be anything I may choose. However what i want to do is to create a Narrative out of simple Sound. What i mean by that is... for example:

Let's say we are viewing a film with no audio/sound we can pretty much assume what the narrative is about.

When we are listening to an audio clip with music and words our mind attempts to associate visual images to the words and music we hear.

The theme I am going for is sort of a mystery/love

1. I will have intermitting music that will play and cut to give the listeners a moment to think of what is going on and then the music play again.

2. The woman in high heels: somehow due to conventional films - when we normally hear such emphasis on women walking it’s mostly during the night time. Therefore the walking of the woman will symbolize (independent-confident-mysterious of walking alone, sexy "somehow every time I hear a women walking in high heels I look around, I think every man finds that sound very sexy haha...)

3. The man walking: The man will follow the woman in the background. This will symbolize his admiration for the woman as well as how men are easily persuaded by sex.

I hope I didn’t confuse you guys… I just want some feedback ;)
Thanks,
Joey :>~

Take a look at Sounddogs.com. They have a large library of sound effects available for download, including lots of different styles of footsteps. Very reasonable prices

Try here:

http://www.bargus.org/soundlibrary.html

They have a library of free sound effects and offer a service to provide others.

CKE in Shipley, near Bradford, have a set of 10 sound effect discs (available individually). I don't know what is on them. but they could tell you. See

Update (Woman in High Heels) Film Audio Project

Hi,

Okie here is an update of my Film Audio project for school... I changed my mind on the theme for this clip. What I was trying to accomplish is a narrative from sound only and not utilizing any dialog.

You can view my 2minute audio clip
http://homepage.mac.com/joey_dee/iMovieTheater2.html

Victoria a French woman suspects her husband being unfaithful to her with a mistress. Throughout the audio clip we hear a woman walking in high heels, only later does Victoria come to the understanding that she has a split personality. Unable to cope with the differentiation of illusion and reality, Victoria breaks down and realizes there never was a mistress - it was her all along, the Woman in High Heels. Also some of these sounds to you might not seem relevant to you however it very well depicts the abstract side of the unconscious.

The use of random silence in this clip is very significant as I am trying to give the listeners a moment to stop and think - as well as to listen to the presents live sounds surrounding the listeners.

The music in my Audio Clip is from the score of “Trois Couleurs: Bleu” part of a trilogy directed by: Krzysztof Kieslowski – amazing film – must see

I all the sound effects including the man speaking in French was derived from www.sounddogs.com (amazing site)

Let me know what you guys think,
Thanks
Joey ?

To see a masterful use of sound but no dialogue, try to rent a copy of Mel Brook's "Silent Movie." In a brilliant comedic twist, there's only one word of dialogue in the entire movie, spoken by the mime Marcel Marceau!
