Surround Sound and Final Cut Express
I'm using Final Cut Express (FCE) as my editing software and I'm considering a surround-sound soundtrack for one of my next projects. At this point I'm just learning about surround sound so I'm not working on anything serious, but I'm looking for a starting point.
I don't see anything in FCE to support outputting a surround-sound soundtrack but I'm wondering if anyone here can point me in the right direction to get started. I don't have anything specific in mind (Dolby Digital, DTS, etc.) so I'm open to suggestions. It's my understanding that DTS involves the least amount of compression, which would be good but I could be completely off course with that. Up until now I've only worked with stereo so any info for getting started in authoring for surround would be appreciated. Thanks! |
