Schoeps CMIT 5U

Today I finally took the plundge and ordered some decent audio gear. Anyway I had planned on ordering Schoeps new shotgun mic but it seems that there is a huge backorder on it. I was quoted that if i ordered it today from one place I might see it in march or april. Ive ordered a mkh-416 instead, but I would still like to get the Schoeps to match the CMC641.

Does anyone know of a place that may have betting supplies of the Schoeps CMIT 5U mic?

You might want to try Trew Audio.

Yes there is a backup. While they knew there would be a positive response, I don't think Schoeps was prepared for the sheer size of the demand.

A damn nice sounding mic. I have one here at the moment for some review articles. That natural sound of the Schoeps cmc641 in a shotgun. Two low cut filters and a high bump for when you put it in a blimp.

It matches with the cmc641 very, very nicely, so you can work inside and out.

I should have some samples other than the short mp4 video in the Video folder of my On Line Archive soon.

Regards,

Ty Ford
