Zoom H5 Clipping

I was testing out mics recently with my zoom H5 and I was surprised it clips at -6db when I plug in a mic. If I use the built in mics I get the full range up to 0db. Is it a setting?

edit: I answered my own question it’s a setting but I still find it odd. Apparently this is caused when mono mix is turned on. I’ll have to attach a note to the recorder so I don’t forget this down the road.
