As long as the 1/4" connection is TRS (balanced), you'll be ok.. If it's a TS ( tip / sleeve, two terminal) 1/4" plug or jack, that would unbalance that entire cable.

Oh, no. I wasn't correcting you. I was just telling Rick that it was a TRS and I knew what it stood for. Sorry, if you thought I was correcting you. I don't do that kind of stuff. If someone makes a mistake, it happens.
