Might look at the Edirol R05, I think it ticks all your boxes. Itis the successor to the R09, which I have, and it provides the low voltage mike power, so I assume the Ro5 does also. I have been very satisfied with the quality of the unit. The R09 also has manually adjustable input, and I assume the R05 does also. Specs on the B&H Photo site.

The R05 is significantly bigger and heavier than the DR-03.
The R05 uses AAs, and gets significantly better battery life, compared to the DR-03's AAAs. |
