Echo Problem

We recently recorded a production on a parade field with about 20 minutes of speaking, however our main audio feed was not recorded properly and therefore lost. So now were stuck with our backup audio feed which has horrible echo issues. Any suggestions, tips or helpful links on how to get rid or dim down the echo? Were using Adobe Audition 1.5 / Premiere Pro 1.5.

Thanks!
