Re: Rode NTG3 - On Camera Doc / ENG Suitability

I tried out the Sony 70-200 and it was very nice. With clear image gets you pretty far. With IS I could even use handheld at 200.

But thought if I shelled out for the metabones speedbooster whether i'd use the canon 100-400 .... for those extra. extra distance shots. Might try out the combo at a camera store today, before I head back south.

Re: Rode NTG3 - On Camera Doc / ENG Suitability

I had one of the Canon 100-400 lenses. Great lens but I disliked the push-pull zoom so now looking for something else. Thinking about an EF mount Sigma 150 - 600 but haven't decided yet.

Also didn't like the white color of the 100 - 400 because it made it pretty conspicuous. A lens that big isn't exactly hard to see regardless of color, but still, white was too obvious for my taste.
