A-T System 10 - now with camera mount receivers
Hi,
As I continue to track this emerging technology, it gets more interesting. AT now has battery powered receivers that can be used either mounted on a camera or in a bag. More here: Ty Ford Audio and Video: Audio-Technica System 10 - Now With Battery-powered Receiver & More Regards, Ty Ford |

Re: A-T System 10 - now with camera mount receivers
Thanks for the information Ty!
I'll add one more item to the wishlist for Audio-Technica, based on my recent use of the even lower cost NuVoice PL-2 digital system: A plug-on transmitter for the AT System 10 family, preferably with switchable phantom power. The PL-2 is a two-channel digital system for $249. (Crazy!!) It comes with two plug-on transmitters that supply switchable 48-volt phantom power. Despite the incredibly low cost, minimal brand history, and very light-weight construction, this system actually has pretty good audio quality, with only one drawback. This system is heavily gated, which in some situations can become very noticeable. In situations where the gate action naturally doesn't come into play, the audio quality and latency are good, especially when coupled with your existing high-quality mics. I'm sure Audio-Technica could do a superior job of adding similar digital plug-on transmitters to their line so everyone could make the best wireless use of their nice condenser mics. I'm not recommending the PL-2 system beyond saying it does in fact work, just relating my recent testing with their plug-on digital transmitters and seeing that plug-on's aren't a part of the AT system yet. |

Great idea Jay, I'll add it to the list!
And credit you with the idea, of course. Regards, Ty |
