Can I use this mic? (Stereo 1/8" --> two XLR channels?)
Is it feasible to use my DSLR video mic on my camcorder?
My camcorder has the usual 2 x XLR inputs, but I'm trying to use the battery-powered DSLR shotgun mic I already own instead of getting a new powered shotgun. I use Panasonic HMC150 and I'm trying to use my Azden SMX-20. Right now I am using an external recorder or the HMC150's onboard mic :( |

I'm betting it would work with a suitable adapter. The audio department at B&H could probably help you with the details. All the same, you oughta buy a better mic. There are quite a few budget mics these days with a genuine XLR connection that give you good bang for the buck. You may be surprised at the improvement in quality, not mention flexibility.

Richard's solution should work.. just don't engage the cam's Phantom Power.. poof.
