Re: Time magazine headphones review
What a totally invalid review, it went downhill after they mentioned Dr Dre (a brand plug) and to judge by manufacturer is a joke!
So any headphone by X manufacturer is better than from Y or Z ? Waste of time!

Re: Time magazine headphones review
I was rather expecting the same as Mr. Nattrass. But it appeared that all those mass-market, celebrity trash ("Dr. Dre, et.al.) scored at the bottom of the heap. The final results were pretty credible IMHO. Which, I admit, I was quite surprised at.

Re: Time magazine headphones review
Can't speak to any of that, but I was given some Sennheiser HD380s for my birthday. They are large enough to fit around my ears, instead of pressing on them, so I can wear them for long periods, and, for lack of better description, they sound very "3D". Listen to music with them and you can really hear the depth/acoustic space. They sound to me like you're sitting in front of a pair of nice monitors listening to the sound.
I've been using them in the field for video production, so far pretty pleased. |
