Fix distorted audio
Hi guys I am usually decent with audio but at last weeks wedding I accidently left my zoom h1 on a higher level than usual and the best man had the loudest voice ever resulting in every now and again a rasping loud noise due to the levels. I have added de-nosier in cs6 turned levels right down but it is still distorted slightly. When he really starts the conversation then as he is talking he gets better and slows down so it pretty much at the starts of his conversations in his speech. Anyone point me as I am not brilliant with audio. I have audition also as well as cs6 prem prosteve

Re: Fix distorted audio
A few years ago I would have said it was impossible to repair clipped audio, but some people report acceptable results with iZotope RX3.
I'm still not convinced, but have never used it, so it might be okay if the distortion is not too bad. |

Re: Fix distorted audio
Mild digital clipping can usually be helped by a clipped peak repair utility. Excessive digital clipping and/or an over-driven analog preamp distortion is another story.
