Zoom H6 Line out attenuation cable -25 or -35?
I want to feed my BMPCC and Panny GH3 with line out on the new Zoom H6. Any thoughts on the attenuation I should use?

Re: Zoom H6 Line out attenuation cable -25 or -35?
Both cameras show they have mic level stereo inputs while the Zoom is a -10dBu stereo output. Alas, the camera specs don't list a sensitivity figure so it's just a guess but I'd go with -35 to start with rather than risk overloading the inputs. Remember those are both stereo I/O so you'll need to make sure you have a stereo cable with the pad on both channels.

I've been feeding my H6 into my GH3 using 25 dB attenuation, but I'm doing acoustic guitar so I don't want a hint of squashing. A llittle experimentation will give you a handle on the best setting for your situation Fran |
