Until the 9000 series came out - this was Sennheiser's top transmitter - excellent unit.

Sennheiser were working on digital radio for over 10 years, but the technology never really came together until very recently.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the portable receiver will be like when it eventually comes. Though, personally, I don't really use radio as I concentrate on location recording of classical music for CD release.

Good to read Ty and thank's for the review.
Personally I now just provide a couple of G2 or G3 as part of my std kit but if productions need more than a couple of channels or are not happy with basic G2 (ch70) or G3 (ch38) reception I always hire the high end kit in.
