Song freedom experiences
I was looking for a site that offers Music for my wedding videos at a reasonable price and I came across songfreedom dot com
After a mail conversation they claim you can pay a one time fee of 24,99 dollar and use a song as long as you want for one video/project, no yearly renewal costs, only thing you need to do is to add a reference at the end of your videos to their website. So far, so good, I also asked them if their music was not subject to additional licensing costs if I bought it from them and used it in Belgium because often with certain music that can be the case meaning you could end up paying twice but that was assured was also not the case. Even better, but then I saw they had music like Secrets from one republic, I mean, I hear that song playing on the radio every day, that's a commercial song! Is it possible that you can just use that kind of music with a wedding video that you place on your own commercial site for a one time 24,99 dollar fee, I find that realy hard to believe, especially because any other site I came across uses artists that I never heared of and they charge between 30-150 dollar which needs to be renewed yearly. Is there a catch here? Any user experiences? |

Re: Song freedom experiences
They start out saying they are going to explain "what is legal", but the content is rather sparse and incomplete, IMHO.
And I can't find the actual written license terms on their website. Without reading that, I would be skeptical. I agree that it sounds too good to be true. |
