Easy mic-preamp ? at DVinfo.net

Has anyone tried this compact mic pre-amp product on a camcorder? I'm looking to get a more faithful reproduction of transients for handheld/field, on-camera recording with my Sony EX1. I generally set the gain lower to avoid the EX1's fixed limiter, so I'm also interested in reducing EX1 circuit noise if possible. I also record with two mics in parallel, one set 6-10 dB lower than the other.
