Tascam DR-680 Question
Any way to keep this unit from recording 6 .WAV files every time you hit record? I am recording just one mic, but it records 5
blank WAV files. Even if I solo track 1, it still records 6 wave files. Any way to change this so it ONLY makes WAV files for the tracks you are using? |

Re: Tascam DR-680 Question
Press:
Menu => Record => Track Make sure "File" (right above Track in the Record menu) either set to Mono or Stereo. If it is set to stereo you can only turn on and off tracks in pairs.(i.e. 1&2 will be turned on or off together, same for 3&4 and 5&6). -Garrett |

Re: Tascam DR-680 Question
Thanks.
I was just about to write back and say it doesn't work. I tried that for 2 hours yesterday. What threw me was every single other menu function is selected with the value or enter key (clicking it). So I sat there for hours like a moron trying to get it to click over. I read the manual 5 times. Duh! For anyone else stumbling on this, move the selector to the track line (as Garret mentions above), then use the NUMBER KEYS on the face of the unit to turn each track on/off. The selector that works on everything else, doesn't work on the tracks. Thanks Garret for your help! |

Re: Tascam DR-680 Question
Sorry, I should have mentioned to use the numbered track buttons on the front panel.
