Which wind stopping system? at DVinfo.net

I recently purchased an Audio Technica 4073A for capturing diolog. At the time I also bought the following softie with pistol grip:

Did I buy the right thing? I can still return it and get something else. I would like something with a pistol grip that can also mount on a boom pole without having to remove the grip. The Rycote softie seems "cheap", though. I was expecting more for $229.
