Survey: Wireless Microphone Systems
Take this short, 10-question survey:
Your Opinion: Wireless Microphone Systems for Video / Film Production ...and register for a chance to win a $100 gift card from Amazon. Your participation is greatly appreciated! (We're conducting this online survey for a high-end manufacturer of microphones and sound recording equipment who prefers to be anonymous so that they can get unbiased results. When the survey run concludes, the company will be revealed along with the winner of the instant drawing for a $100 Amazon gift card.) Many thanks from DV Info Net! |

Mic Survey Question.
Just took the mic survey, but it didn't ask for any of my personal info. Does it auto generate my info based off the cookies of me being logged into DVInfo when I clicked the link? Sorry this is the first DVInfo survey I've taken.
Thanks, Paul |

Re: Mic Survey Question.
Hi Paul,
Nope, it doesn't auto-generate anything. The survey itself doesn't want or need your contact info. At the end of the survey, you're presented with the option of clicking a link to enter a drawing for an Amazon gift card. If you choose to proceed with that, then (and only then) it will prompt you for your contact info (by name and email address). |

Thanks for participating Rob, The company is one of the majors in this business. They recognize DV Info Net for the huge audience of working professionals that we attract on a daily basis. The questions they're asking in that survey are basically a way of checking the pulse of the market, and we're happy to help with that process. Much appreciated, |

Re: Survey: Wireless Microphone Systems
Took the survey but didn't find the structure (ie order of importance for features) very useful for imparting the information I use to evaluate these things

Re: Survey: Wireless Microphone Systems
I wanted to rate a number of "features" as totally not important to me, but did not have that option.

Re: Survey: Wireless Microphone Systems
I must agree with some of the previous posters - the survey was flawed in it's structure and intent, which, from what I could make out, was somewhat murky.
There was no logic to the ranking questions, as choosing option 5 for one question put it out of contention for another in the same list, even though it may well have ranked as such. Great idea, and welcome, BUT I think they need to be better designed, by people who really know how to do this stuff, which I do not believe these people did. Just my 2 cents. Looking forward to Vitec doing the same (anonomously, of course) and being able to give them a right serve............ as if. CS |

Re: Survey: Wireless Microphone Systems
I agree - the features rating was badly designed. I would of picked most of those items as Must have or I would not consider that particular unit.... and I will also say I think most wireless mic are very overpriced when you look at the G3's. their only 2 failings IMO are the stupid 1/8" connector and punny 30mw of output.... oh and not making a top mounted menu to make it bag friendly...that one burns me every day.
