Where to buy XLR cables

I need to buy some XLR cables varying in length from 50 FT up to 250FT. Does anyone know where I can buy some decent quality cables. I have looked at B&H but I am just wondering if there were any other options out there. Thanks.

Re: Where to buy XLR cables

Make them yourself... buy the connectors and the cable and presto any length you want.
If you are unable to solder check out youtube there are some great instructional videos there, it will save you a fortune in the long run or otherwise get to know some electronic techo people to help out. (Its amazing what you can get done with a carton of beer) ;)

But wait till they've finished soldering the connectors before you hand over the beer :-)

Re: Where to buy XLR cables

A while back I found someone on ebay who had a business of making custom lengths at a great price but he is no longer there.

Re: Where to buy XLR cables

Many of DVinfo sponsors such as Abel-Cine and Adorama have XLR cables. I prefer the Neutrik connectors.

You can go to Redco Audio - Custom Audio Cables - Recording Studio Supplies - Custom A/V Panels - Design Your Own Single Channel Cable and order custom cables at a good price. You get to select what wire, what connectors, what length, etc. you want.

Disclaimer: I buy wire and connectors from Redco, but I have been making my own cables since 1964.

How Richard, I'm going to have to do some home work. There are a lot of options just for cables. Thanks for the site.
