No sound with Rode NTG-1 to H4n at DVinfo.net

I can't hear any sound coming out of my H4n using the Rode NTG-1. I tested the mic on my JVC HM100 and it works fine I also tried a Shure SM57 Dyanamic mic on my H4n and that worked. I have enabled phantom power on in the H4n but there's not enough gain to hear anything.

Can you take all the gear to the shop where you bought it .. or BnH .. they might help.

i bought this gear last year so no don't think they will help.
